“Marlene’s Cardinals” on NBC5

On Monday, NBC5 did an interview with Norton about Marlene’s Cardinals, the hand-carved redbirds Norton creates in memory of his wife, Marlene, to support cancer research at the University of Vermont Cancer Center.

What began as Norton’s personal way of working through grief has grown into a meaningful effort that now helps others do the same. Each cardinal sold contributes directly to cancer research, and—just as importantly—offers comfort to those navigating loss.
